I think you might be surprised. For those of us with means, and who game on heavily modded 4k setups, we need both the horsepower of Blackwell and a minimum of 24gb VRAM so even the 5080 is insufficient.
Who gives a toss. 0.01% of people looking for new gpu will buy a 5090. So who cares. Only a dumb company would prioritise an unaffordable and frankly uneeded gpu over having plenty of stock of the 5060 and 5070 class cards. Even 5080 sales will be small compared to 5070
