IMHO: Nintendo generally (not always) targets a different segment of the industry then others do. While others are flooding the $400-1000+ market with devices that have fairly dismal run times on battery the existing switch is not only generally less expensive with generally less demanding native games that run on it the Switch generally had much longer run/play time on battery then the other handhelds.
Also IMHO Nintendo was unlikely ever going to try to compete with the Linux/WIN11 handhelds.
