I hope they're better about compatibility and support than they were in the past. I have 2 Brix Pro minis with the i7 1165G7 in them and they run well, but they're really fussy about parts, particularly memory. Be sure to stick with what's on the QVL or you can have problems. One of them took G.Skill Ripjaw memory just fine, the other fought with me. Then I had one channel of them memory controller go, so I only use it in single channel mode.
Gigabyte rarely provided driver updates. They recently provided an updated BIOS a few months ago, and that was the first update for the system in nearly 3 years. Looking at the readme for the updates, there were apparently several bios revisions between the most recent and the one released before, but they never bothered to publish them.
My Lenovo IdeaCentre mini is a much better machine overall.
Gigabyte is set to release a new, powerful mini-PC equipped with a high-speed network interface and plenty of USB ports. The system is designed for easy upgradability, allowing users to install more memory and storage.
