Man, outlets like this need to stop licking Nvidia's boot and actually realize it was all a bunch of bluster and bs. You can get 4x frame generation from lossless scaling, the app. There's zero hardware reason to lock this "technology" behind the 50 series as most of the cards have plenty of tensor cores to do this.

Its a bad generation, it just has a slick (but ultimately pointless) trick that means nothing

5090 10% improved Raster performance over 4090 with a 25% price increase and 20% increase in power consumption.

DLLS 4 MFG is a lie.  It will look like 200+ fps, but still feel like 30.

Yep, exactly this. 300 fps, 60 ms input lag; it will be worse experience than playing straight up at 30 fps, lol.

Welp, AI is mentioned a ton, so investors will be happy! (gamers couldn't care less).

This doesn't mean squat, especially from DF.

NVIDIA refused to show any creative workloads difference from the RTX 40 series.

That in itself says a lot!

The newly announced RTX 5080 desktop GPU is looking like a solid upgrade over the RTX 4080 Super thanks to the enticing price of just $999 and the promise a big performance boost with DLSS 4 Frame Generation. According to some preliminary testing done by Digital Foundry, the 4x DLSS 4 Frame Generation indeed gives a major performance uplift and brings some notable image quality gains.
