Quote from: indy on Yesterday at 18:45:40Today I leaned that "Generation X" didn't have video game/car/book/etc  magazines that told of upcoming releases often years before introduction.

I can remember riding my bike down to the magazine shop and scouring the video game magazines for any news on the Ultima series. I may have lingered in the playboy section a tad, too.

It's funny that Gen X'er hate being lumped in with Boomers (which I obviously understand) and then guys like this try to act like they're too old for there to have been ads and any sort of publication of future games in order to appear better than others. Guy doesn't know that he isn't the only Gen X'er that plays video games and can easily be debunked...

Data miners are bottom feeders.
Just wait like the test of us when stuff comes around or out.
You can tell data miners and leakers arent gen X'rs.
Gen X kids grew up not knowing what was around the corner or coming out.

Ironic since there plenty of data miners that are Gen X'ers, just not a huge portion. You just really wanted to feel important, eh?

I'm not a fan of data miners and dont like to be spoiled (unless its an upcoming sale on a game so I can allocate money), and I don't know how to break this to you but...the reason more of you "Gen X'ers" aren't data miners is because, back then, you COULDN'T. Save your self-righteousness for something that can't be debunked simply by stating "Yeah, no crap, because you couldn't back then. If you were born later, 100% more Gen X'ers would be leaking."

You aren't special, or patient, you were just born too late.  Period.

Unironically one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. It shows your age and how little you know about gaming lol.

The article says its unclear about the guy being an Epic employee or not, but a comment he posted 6 hours after the initial one makes it pretty obvious he is an employee who was leaking info from the office and now there is an investigation.

Here it is below.

.

Well can't compromise other things as well, since things are still under... checking.

Office closed so made things a lot weirder/harder to check with, and people having fun on Christmas, so I guess everyone just enjoy their time, maybe will come back a little later.

So... again Merry Christmas *(Although some regions already ended but hope it's not too late to say it)*

And hope we get a nice New Year's Gift! 😊

Seriously, leaking the future freebie game is like predicting a baby gender. It's coming out whether you like it or not, and you will receive it whenever it comes out.

Redditor MeguminShiro has been pretty accurate with Epic Games Store holiday free game leaks, but the last out didn't turn out to be correct. While there hasn't been much of a backlash regarding it, the leaker has seemingly called it quits.
