Forgetting for the moment that unless Microsoft introduces another new file format that is incompatible with prior versions, there is really NO reason to upgrade.

Even with the above said, ONLY if you are wishing to open/work with Office files that OTHERS have made (and are in the newer format) would upgrading even be a concern.
