I believe what they are referring to is that in the old system if I'm playing any game all of my library is unavailable to family sharing while I. The new system will make only the copy of the game I'm currently playing not available to other members of the family share

Make video games great again.  I am absolutely fine with Valve going out of business.  Nobody should buy games and not own them, we cannot even share them.  How is this acceptable in America.... or anywhere.  Now as the globalists say, we will own nothing and like it.

As long as you add those accounts to your family, yes. Pretty sure you can still authorise them as playable on the same PC from alt profiles (or switch profiles, which is now a lot easier too).

You can now play ANY game in ANY of the family members libraries (subject to age approval there is a kid and adult option for access). Whilst other family members play any other game that has a spare licence (2 members have game x then 2 people can play game x whilst others play other games in the library pool). So. You can for example play one game, like let's just say rocket League. And your family member can play your copy of baldurs gate at the same time under the new family share.  So you can both play your games just not the same one unless you both have copies

With the old rules they couldn't play any of your games if you were playing something, even if it's a different game

There is a draw back to the new family set up. Everyone needs to be in the same country.

I have a cousin in the states and I am in uk. Now we can't share our library. So much for "family".. It's made more like family in the same house.
