I know that the LinkBuds (Open) are not popular, but I'm happy with them regarding the usage I give them. Don't expect spectacular sound (they definitely don't have that), but the open back (doughnut) makes them perfect for a ton of use-cases.
When mine die, I'll certainly get these again.

For noise cancelling (trains, airplanes, etc.) I already have the XM4, and for plugging headphones into decent hardware I have the DT 990 PRO.

So different headphones for different needs! Glad to see that they didn't discontinue the LinkBuds Open.

Sony has announced two new pairs of earbuds to its LinkBuds line: the LinkBuds Open and LinkBuds Fit. The former are open-ear buds, while the latter are more like traditional wireless earbuds. Both come with redesigned wings for a secure fit.
