This moves only shows that Fitbit were still selling more than their failed Pixel watch. And I assume closing down the brand will only drive more people away to Garmin/Samsung rather than buying a Pixel.
It seems Google is not able to understand how to market two different brands at the same time. At the end, perhaps this is a win in the long run, since it means Google will leave a pretty big chunk of the market to other companies and they will stop collecting all that info

This development follows confirmation from Google that the Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 will be the last smartwatches from the popular brand, with Pixel Watch taking centre-stage in the future.
