$399.99 is an instant day one purchase for me, anything above that and I'll be enjoying my Switch 1/Series X a little longer than planned (which is fine).

Yeah I'm personally a lifelong Nintendo fan but those guys are ridiculously off the mark, especially the comments about ROG Ally or Legion Go or other consoles. Seriously? Do you not understand that those consoles won't have the new Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Metroid, Super Smash, or any other first party games? Nintendo first party games exclusivity are 99.999999% contributors to the success of any Nintendo console and that will not change any time soon.

Quote from: Doctor on September 29, 2024, 16:27:47If the price is going up that much it won't take long for it to go on sale or fail badly and I mean so badly Nintendo would have to put them on Sale to empty stocks.

$299 (Original Switch) in April 2017 is $386.20 in 2024 Bidenbucks/Kamalacoins, so $399 is probably the least Nintendo will charge since $399 today is what $299 was in the Trump days. I'd be really impressed if the Switch were $399. $429-$479 with a pack-in title seems a lot more fitting. Either way, Nintendo will succeed Doc.

With new price hikes and games prices that arent ever budge I can bet that customers will quickly realise that ROG Allay or Legion Go are much closer in reach now pricewise.
Plus games on Steam or Xbox Live are much cheaper and get often discounts.
The last and the most important poing graphics. Is graphics on PC is better than on console? Since I bought Legion Go I hardly touched Switch. Now I am upgrading Legion Go further for extra storage space... Not interested in Switch anymore...
