I had to wake up at 5 am (LA, USA) to get in the queue, but several hours later the server was down. So the earliest I could access the website was around 9 am. By that time Anniversary addition was no longer available. It wouldn't have been that frustrating if the winner was picked by some sort of lottery mechanism. But the way it happened was completely disappointing. Especially the fact that many of them ended up not in hands of lifelong fans, but in scalper's hands on Ebay and other platforms.
The PlayStation 5 Pro and the strictly limited 30th Anniversary Edition were sold out within a very short time after launch. If you're still looking to get your hands on a console right now, you'll likely have to accept the scalpers' prices – and they are outrageously high, especially for the 30th Anniversary Edition.
