I understand they need to pay for those "over 10 hours of re-recorded conversation, mocap" but I don't understand why they needed to be redone. I have played the whole game and it was a great experience, including conversation and mocap.

Agree, for me it's not a masterpiece nor a bad looking/old game that requires remaster. Strange decision, maybe just to push PS5 Pro version..

Sony has announced Horizon Zero Dawn is getting a remaster. It will launch on October 31 as a $9.99 upgrade for people who already own the game. Otherwise, it costs $49.499
