Or you can export to Photos app on Mac (or Windows) and free space.
There's million ways to store your photos in different clouds (iCloud, OneDrive, DropBox, Immich, Google Drive) or locally and not have them taking space on your phone.

iCloud is a backup solution with bidirectional sync, and that's all. If you don't have free space on your iPhone, there is no way to store and play 4K 60/120 fps video on the iPhone from your gallery in online/offline mode. The only solution is to buy the 2 TB version of the iPhone.

Either story is fake or you don't know iCloud and/or exporting your photos to Photos exist.

4K at 120 fps is a game changer for me as an iPhone user, but I have a couple of concerns regarding Apple. The 2TB version was not released, and my device is already nearly full with 950GB of photos in my gallery. The second concern is more significant: sideloading is not available in all countries. I'm considering transcoding my Live Photos to something like JPEG-XL and moving away from Apple.
