Samsung already makes a chipset that is competitive at the high-end. Google chooses not to compete there. They have seen that while there was initially some pushback from reviewers on the lower performance of the G1 & G2 generations vs price-comparable Snapdragons and even Exynos chips, there has been less and less focus put on this to the point where there is barely any mention of it in recent P9 reviews. The G5 is not going to change that in any meaningful way.

Does anyone how well the Adreno 710 in the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 would fare on this chart?

Google Tensor chips is the reason why I'm not interested in Google Pixel devices anymore.

The Google Tensor G4 has been benchmarked on 3DMark Wild Life Extreme by Golden Review. Per the benchmark scores shared, the Pixel 9 SoC hardly beats the Tensor G3, and it can't match the score of the 2021 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
