They simply have a conditioning system moved from the suit into the capsule, suit is always connected. Also the suit isn't rated to stay in space as long as NASA suits. And yes, black object can be more reflective in infrared depending on material, every owner of security camera with IR light knows that sometimes black objects are white in IR.

Quote from: O'Connell on September 12, 2024, 23:02:35the suit is very thin, and we can see his bottom, but the question is , how is possible with the simple suit (and not nasa space EMU that is heavy) to mantain temperature of body constant?

so for how is thin, can mantain separately the temperature body from temperature of the space, that is -273.5 °C ?

The reason is because NASA space suites are modular one size fits all. Where as SpaceX suites are tailor made for each person. So a lot of the bulkiness is just extra stuff needed if person may be different size.

End of the day, temperature isn't about size but about insulation. There is also a cord connected to the suit that helps adjust the temperature.

A White space suit with HEAT ABSORBING BLACK PANELS on it ? Ridiculous and IMPOSIBLE .
They were allegedly at DOUBLE the altitude of the SSI ..... which would expose them to MUCH MORE RADIATION !!!

You should learn about insulation, coating and fabrics.

Also, black and white doesn't actually exist. We simply see things as black and white because of how it reflects visible light. Most of the energy of the sun is infrared at 50%, followed by visible light at 40% and 9% being ultraviolet. What that means is if you can reflect all infrared light and uv light, a black material can be cooler than a white one (as visible by humans). Read up on things like infrared reflective coatings

Gotta love these space exploration experts writing from mom's basement.

The suit itself looks questionable for sure, the old bulky one was a bit believable.

YES , the suit would be +270F and -270F "at the same time" ... because the BLACK PORTION of his FAKE suit would end up at +270F , and the WHITE PORTION would end up being -270F .  Look it up .

SpaceX has developed the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) space suit with its mission to Mars in mind, and it just underwent the first successful spacewalking test.
