"Filmmaker Mode was devised by the Ultra High Definition Alliance (UHD Alliance), backed by directors such as Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve."
First, let's get this out the way right now! Christopher Non-technical does not know a freaking thing about tech and NONE of his films caters to DoVi/Atmos or even DTS:X (so, why even have Nolan in a DoVi/Atmos [or any object-based audio] discussion), so, why should anyone care about this idiot's opinion?! 😏
"The tool is described as **allowing you** to watch movies and TV shows as the director intended."
So, let me get this straight!!!
*ahem*
Now, our personal experiences are no longer ours to enjoy but instead, we need to surrender, our everything, to these film's snobs by getting their freaking PERMISSION on the products that we've purchased (and what gives these snobs even a job to work/film anything), with our own hard earned money, to view said content regardless if we dislike film grain or if we appreciates interpolation for certain films, right?!?! Talking about super diva arrogance here!!!
What the heck are these clowns... correction... what the heck are these FOOLS sniffing / injecting, folks?!?!?! SERIOUSLY!
Philips has confirmed that some of its newer TVs are being updated with a Dolby Vision Filmmaker mode. These models already supported Filmmaker Mode for SDR and HDR10 content, and Philips is not the first manufacturer to offer the new tool. The feature was spotted during a test of a 2024 4K Amblight TV.
