I had a X1 yoga gen 6 and bought recently the gen 8. I'm so disappointed with it. The stylus is 2x smaller, with ridiculously short battery. Also it gets extremely hot because the fan is now in the bottom which is obviosly getting blocked more frequently, also the keyboard has been downgraded.

Not sure about the temperature, but it does not look like gen 9 is coming back to gen 6... even worse the pen seems not to be housed inside the laptop...

Please lenovo come back to gen 6 keyboard and fire the engineers that destroyed this laptop.

The pen is no longer housed inside the unit. This means that every other 2-in-1 alternative is now better (and possibly even cheaper) than Lenovo's. Sad to see it killed this way.

Don't know why the whole Fn/Ctrl key swap bothers me soo much when there are so many other things to complain about with the current direction of the ThinkPad line.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Gen 9) is now official with the Intel Meteor Lake processors, DDR5X memory, and PCIe Gen 4 storage. The laptop rocks a 14-inch touch display alongside Wi-Fi 6E/7 as well as cellular connectivity. Powering the internals is a 57 Wh battery that, according to Lenovo, is made from 80% Post Consumer Content (PCC).
