Latency issues between CCDs is supposed to be addressed "soon." (Relative term) We'll see. Maybe there is some truth to the 9000 series being rushed out to meet a deadline like Meteor Lake was for Dec 23/Jan 24 launch. With X3D being pushed back to Jan 25, maybe AMD wants it launched correctly. What's interesting is you don't hear complaints about the 370HX performance and/or upcoming BIOs fixes. How could the notebook team get it "more right" while the desktop team be pretty bad?

"AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and 9900X see major price cuts in the US just weeks after launch"

Clickbait much, NBC?! 😏

This "major price cut" doesn't even cover the tax for these garbage skus. SMH!

Not 5% but more like 10%. And yes, that is pretty significant when you consider these were released like 10 days ago.

If they're dropping this much this fast now. What do you think will happen to the prices of these parts after 10 months?

Expect 40%-50% off by then. But this is nothing new and quite normal for AMD.

Frankly, the zen 5 woes & latency issues make worry for future x3D zen 5 parts and strix halo. Will we have to wait till 2027 zen 6 for AMD to get their act together?

AMD's newly released Ryzen 9000 series processors have seen significant price cuts, with the flagship Ryzen 9 9950X dropping from $649 to as low as $559–623. Ryzen 9 9900X has also experienced a price reduction, dropping from $499 to $449. These adjustments may indicate lower-than-expected demand, possibly due to initial reviews highlighting modest performance gains over previous models.
