Quote from: forgetting on August 20, 2024, 21:56:35One has to be a three-brain-cell leftist to completely "forget" that Snowden and his leaks ever existed.

There is a big difference between governments doing shady stuff in the name of national security, bribing companies and etc, and government forcing somebody by law where you can face prison sentence or even death

Quote from: Codrut Nistor on August 20, 2024, 15:21:51Imagine how hard is for developers from China who want to launch a product. Any product. Even if they release something that has no spyware in it, they would be suspected of doing that by default.

What a joke!  I use Deepin Linux solely for the Deepin browser that has jack spying features incorporated into Edge/Chrome.  These bastards just want to take a clean and working Linux distro and turn it into a data-mining whore for Microsoft and Google!

If you want to be spyware free, deepin wouldn't be it

Based on the stable Deepin 23 distro, ExTiX 24.8 comes with the 6.10.3-amd64-exton kernel (equivalent to the 6.10.3 stable kernel) and Google Chrome 127.0.6533.119-1, which replaces the Deepin Browser. Compared to Deepin 23, ExTiX 24.8 also sports the Synaptic Package Manager.
