How about just remove lenient buggy physics from the game that enables faster aim just because you "cancelled" strafing under a movement threshold.

Old school CS never had this. So the abuse of the lenient physics rewarded this behavior.

If a new way to play a game appears you have to include it into game paradigm, not ban it. Otherwise you are inquisition in dark ages, preventing progress.
