New Fenix E don't have new sensor. You can buy Fenix 7 pro or Enduro 3 with MIP display. Just wait on more information.

I only bought the fenix for the mips display, had an amoled smart watch but got sick of charging it every few days. I prefer the mips display, I wouldn't buy another amoled as I don't want something glowing on my wrist and mips is easier to see when it's bright.

Don't know why all these people are confused. A Fenix with an amoled display is an Epix. So there is no need for a Fenix with an amoled display, except Garmin decides to kill the Epix series and also wants to lose a great portion of Garmin buyers which prefer battery life over fancy amoled display.
Please make better research, befor posting such nonsense.

I think you should do research before commenting nonsense. Whilst disappointing, it does appear that the fenix will be heading in the direction of AMOLED.

no need to throw stones until anything is official

Personally I own a v7 Fenix and like the screen & battery life it provides.

Sorry to see Garmin go the AMOLED route everyone else is. :(

A UK Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for the upcoming Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch has surfaced. The document is the first official confirmation from the brand of the wearable's existence. Various features of the watch are confirmed in the DoC, including an AMOLED display.
