This test illustrates once again the almost unavoidable problem with laptop tests: a true apples to apples comparison especially of endurance on battery power is really hard. In this test here, the previously tested (very good!) 7840u Model had a display with lower resolution, which by itself (if panel type and brightness settings are equal) will lower power draw in tests like battery life on Wi-Fi. So, should this Meteor Lake model be dinged for having a few minutes less of WiFi time? It's still pretty similar. Now, we have two decent choices, which is better than before!
Some of the criticisms about the cooling solution and throttling under high load are objectively correct, but IMHO not applicable to the use case this type of laptop is typically purchased for.  Anyone who buys this kind of light and portable laptop (without a dGPU!) to run demanding games or editing 4K videos, all while on battery is a bit, let's say, optimistic. The dimensioning of the cooling solution in this Framework laptop is appropriate for the way most buyers will use it: office apps and web browsing, with some occasional light gaming.
What I would have liked to see (read) is a comment on the availability or lack of an option for a bigger battery.  I would gladly put up with another 100 - 150 g of weight in exchange for a 95 or 99 Wh battery, if that's available. But then, that's just me.

We all already have our Ryzen 7040 Framework 13 or 16. Very few people would buy this instead of the ryzen version. I think I have mostly seen FW13 owners of 11th and 12th gen wanting to upgrade to Meteor Lake.

@Notebookcheck
This new FW13 model literally comes with a new webcam. It's one of the main features of it. Read more in Framework's blog - (link is frame dot work and then /blog/framework-laptop-13-deep-dive---a-laptop-webcam-with-smartphone-technology)
Also, your speaker's text is missing, the default blurb is there.

Please try to proofread your articles more thouroughly. It's not like this had to meet an embargo (it was a few days ago) so postponing it a day or more was obviously the better option.

Their proofreader is a joke, regularly see issues.

There's no denying how versatile the Framework Laptop 13.5 can be now that it's gone through several generations of Intel and AMD CPUs without any major design changes. The improved display and integrated graphics help keep the model competitive, but the cooling solution is perhaps showing its age.
