Based on early reviews, that's about 50% too much. What a trash update. I'll be waiting for Arrow Lake now. Hell Intel e-cores will do better that this on their own.

AMD has officially confirmed how much its Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 desktop processors will cost. The top-spec Ryzen 9 9950X retails at $649, while the entry-level Ryzen 5 9600X costs $249. You can buy the former on August 15 and the latter on August 8.
