Popups, pop overs and slide down / in / up / anything should be banned from web design and development. I blame the EU for those stupid cookie notices, everyone and their grandma has know clue what a cookie is (unless you're in IT) and honestly no one cares that a website knows it's you. It's a needed part of browser sessions anyways.
Apple's new 'Distraction Control' feature in Safari aims to help users minimize distracting elements on webpages, allowing them to selectively hide content like sign-in prompts, cookie consent banners, and autoplay videos. While not a full-fledged ad blocker, the tool provides users with more control over their browsing experience across Apple's upcoming operating system updates.
