Hertz uses cars for rent, and as data showed people were abusing the cars. Uber driving is for making money as a taxi service. Many taxi services have long been successful with Teslas and other EVs

After ordering 100,000 Teslas, depreciation and upkeep made Hertz give up on the rapid electrification of its rental fleet. It will now continue offering its Tesla vehicles at a discount to offload them quickly at a steep loss.
