I have the exact same speced PowerSpec pc from MicroCenter for $1.6K and I had to undervolt by 0.05 keeping it ~90C in Cinebench to prevent throttling. I don't see this $2.5K thing dissipating nearly comparably amount of heat even with a vapor chamber.
With only 240w of total heat dissipation performance, you can bet this will be throttling like crazy. A desktop RTX 4070 can easily use 200w under load, not to mention a i7 14700k can easily use over 200w when all cores are going full tilt. This mini PC would need over 400w of heat dissipation performance if you wanted to utilize the full performance of its hardware.
It might have moderm desktop class parts, but the truth is this PC is going to perform the same as a laptop with a mobile class i7 and a mobile RTX 4070 (which is basically just a desktop 4060). For the money you can get a better PC.
Some of them are just yapping about their preference they want amd and they say we don't want intel but where your amd preference go when it comes to gpu like wtf for cpu u want amd and when it comes to gpu u go for nvidia lol.
I don't get it why Intel and not AMD. These companies see everyone heading for AMD but they are still spitting out Intel CPU devices that the public doesn't want!
Oh my, another Intel only option, after Geekcom. Makes no sense. Why not Ryzen X3D? Less power demands, less heat, more CPU. Not interested if Ryzen is not part of the package.
Why launch with Intel only? I need an option with AMD ryzen. I have heard of numerous crashes with intels 13 and 14th generation CPU. 2 CPU option is good business.
Lenovo has launched the Yoga Portal Mini PC in China with desktop-class internals, including an RTX 4070 GPU and an Intel i7 'Raptor Lake' CPU. With a sleek, boxy enclosure and a price tag of $2,480, the Portal appears to have the Mac Studio in its crosshairs
