Tesla says that it has managed a dramatic increase in 4680 battery production, possibly saving the project from potential cancellation. The controversial Cybertruck is currently Tesla's only EV that runs on 4680 cells, but a successful 4680 production ramp could mean cheaper Model Y and Model 3 EVs down the line.
