Intel is now a typical Western "zombie" company that has completely lost its innovative and promising human capital, thanks to disgusting management and the passive role of the company's key beneficiaries.

Problems with the HX/K series are of little concern to anyone, because in the total supply of Intel processors/SoCs, they probably account for less than 10% in unit terms. It is much more important if problems are revealed in the mass series i3/i5/i7.

In any case, Intel admitted complete defeat from TSMC and has now started producing new series there. And what happens next depends on subsidies from the US government, because without them Intel would already be bankrupt.

Whilst the most likely explanation is Intel stonewalling, this response about the laptop chips almost suggests they know exactly what has been going wrong with the desktop parts, but are not disclosing it.

At least until they've had chance to launch the new range of CPUs. Which would then suggest they know the 13th and 14th Gen chip problem isn't fixable.

Are you sure of this, taking into account the real insane 170-190W in PL2 mode in real laptops with the HX series?

I have personally experienced instability with my I9 13900HX with my laptop crashing so often I turned to the custom PC shop where I built it for help

Why is it unfortunate that this is the only recorded instance?  Don't we all hope this isn't actually a problem with the CPUs in question?

This sounds like a gamble when they're still yet to confirm what the issue even is on desktop i9, especially when the crashes do seem to be ameliorated at least by E-core control.

Doesn't fill me with confidence and leans me even more strongly towards a 9950X3D for my next laptop.

Right because Intel thinks the issue is sending too much power to the chip or them clocking too high. Which obviously wouldnt be the same issue on laptops as they are power limited.
