Model Y was the best selling car. Went from 1st to 18th in less than 6 months in Europe. It's far from being the cheapest to own since 40% of Tesla at totaled with minor accidents. If it was the case, it would be the cheapest car to insure... It's quite the opposite.
Problem with EVs is that the cars catch fire by themselves, without any human intervention. It happened multiple times in people's home while they were sleeping and the car charging. It can have atrocious consequences.
Plus they are extremely hard to extinguish, imagine this happening in the fourth basement level of a packed underground garage.
Rarely hear of an ICE fire, though they're far more frequent than EVs (even pro rata). Seems the MSM get a kot of "advetrising" from legacy auto makers to promote EV burn outs. Meanwhile Tesla model Y is the best selling CAR in Europe and US, and cheapest to own over 5 years. Strange...

A Tesla caught fire at the Sheetz supercharging station in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred on July 8, at about 5:45 PM. The model of the vehicle involved is not confirmed but it seems to be a Tesla Model Y.
