It's wild how the mod(s) here do nothing about it, no matter how often you report that spamming shitter, and they are spamming everywhere around here, under 10+ different names.

$1,649 seems like a joke to me and a deception to all consumers. Qualcoom still has 2 years left to reach the level of Apple and AMD and Intel.
What everyone is talking about now is the new AMD ZEN 5 with a 30% performance increase compared to its predecessors, which in computing is BRUTALITY.
I expect products like MINISFORUM V3 and the Surface 10 Pro but with competitive prices.

In the CPU tests, where are the Ryzen scores? Manually added a Ryzen 8845 and got on top of the multicore scores. Please avoid becoming a Qualcomm friendly site. being Intel friendly is already TOO MUCH.

They recently updated their scoring system, am M1 Air would have lower today.

Synthetic tests ate nice, but how about real life performance?

Well, I can tell (from own experience): outside of basic tasks, not great.

Qualcomm talked about DaVinci a lot, but in reality it struggles to play 4K video with simple color grading.

Sliders in Lightroom Classic are not very fluent, AI denoise is very slow.

And a hour of work with these programs eats 1/3 of battery on "best performance" power plan (which you really need to work with them).

Also, 16GB of RAM is fully consumed by running just one of these programs.

NBC, you are the best in the business, and we, readers, would appreciate this kind of information from your reviews.

"In the Wi-Fi test, at 150 d/m² (representing 57 % of the review device's maximum brightness)"
I always thought that 50% from 600 equals 300, seems like something changed recently.

I wouldn't buy this machine, but I remember Air with m1 also had compatibility issues and its score was much higher. Oh well, apple logo makes miracles.

Similar to the new Surface Pro, Microsoft has also now introduced a new edition of its Surface laptop (now in its 7th generation) that relies exclusively on Qualcomm's ARM processor. We review the updated 13.8-inch model with the Snapdragon X Elite with which Microsoft aims to defeat the MacBook Air M3.
