BTW, if anyone here thinks they can cheat Aliexpress with their EZ money refunds is clearly mistaken.  They employ highly sophisticated AI to weed out the genuine buyer protection cases from the fraudsters.  In other words, if you're looking to scam Aliexpress, you will be in for a rude awakening...

"Who will win, who will win, hmmmm."

The one who will win is my wallet dummy!  Why waste money and time over return shipping at eBay and Co. when a few pics can prove a solid case to Aliexpress and get a refund fast in no time.

You vs. thousands of stories of Ali scam in Google.
Who will win, who will win, hmmmm.

Then go buy from Amazon or eBay.  For me I will forever shop from Aliexpress because of their easy refund policy whereby a few pics can at least get half my money back in about 48 hours from filing a dispute, rather spend $$$ on crazy return shipping fees a possibly even wait a month or longer for the case to resolve at eBay and Co!

"Bwahahahaha"

My rear end.  I've never once had to return a defective item back to Aliexpress.  I simply raised a stink (start a dispute) provided pics to prove the problem, then got half of my money back in no time fast.

Overseas sellers are not like greedy corporations like eBay, where you must provide proof of return shipping before you ever see a penny being refunded!

" Availability with buyer protection"

LOL what a joke.  You do realize Xiaomi stands shoulder to shoulder with tech giants like Huawei?  It means Xiaomi can never skim on quality control lest their reputation becomes affected.

You can be pretty sure once the Xiaomi product is factory sealed inside a box there is 0.00000000000000001% of it ever having some form of defect.  Plus Aliexpress is pretty good with buyer protection.  If there is ever a problem can always have option of a partial refund within 14 days of delivery.

Availability is one aspect. Availability with buyer protection according to his country's and region's laws is the other aspect. Aliexpress may provide availability but, on its "German" webpage, does not comply by German law (a legal site notice with address and contact data is missing). In Aliexpress's terms, there is an implicit conflict between the laws of Hongkong and EU / German laws and jurisdictions. 15 days return sounds reasonable until one thinks about it in practice: how long does it take to return a parcel through customs to Hong Kong? It is risky to buy expensive goods overseas!

Author should quit complaining about availability.  This laptop is too easy to purchase from Aliexpress (for overseas buyers).  Plus, if you can wait, you can often get huge discounts on the regular price during Aliexpress sales events!

Xiaomi's RedmiBook Pro 14 is a fast and inexpensive 14-inch laptop with an Intel Meteor Lake processor and 32 GB RAM. Its high-resolution IPS display runs at 120 Hz and its 80-Wh battery ensures impressive runtimes.
