Wow an EV beating petrol cars in a drag race, colour me surprised said no one ever. Have you guys been asleep for the last 10 years. Teslas have been smashing ICE cars for ages. Electric motors can make full torque at 0rpm, so have an enormous advantage off the line.
Not really surprising when its also the lightest of the bunch, surprisingly lower torque but i guess that could just be the computers for each brand delivering diff torque curves to the motors.
The $66,100 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N apparently has the stones to hang with the big boys, as it has demonstrated in a recent drag race where it beat out a Lamborghini Urus Performante Essenza SC V12, a V12 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Brabus Mercedes-Benz AMG G63. The unassuming electric crossover wasn't particularly shy, either, leaving its more expensive ICE counterparts behind with time to spare.
