Level 3 'on certain roads' that's correct. That's on preprogrammed roads like from the airport to a hotel. Noting else. You can't go anywhere you want like you can with Tesla who's neural net allows you to go anywhere you want.I can go from Texas to Wyoming with Tesla with maybe a few disengagements, sometimes none and they become fewer with each release.
No one has the Tesla technology and no one has the fleet to send back real world data to feed the neural net. If you don't have the fleet, you don't have self driving.

Quote from: KevinPP on June 29, 2024, 01:12:51It's a long way from now... EV sales are in the pits. Who wants 225 Miles (360 KM) of range, on a brand new battery that is only going to age, and have less performance in cold weather.

The ranges just aren't there.

That's why this Toyota isn't invested by them. They know they suck for now. Not many would buy them if they werent floated by discounts and subsidies.

But Toyota should use this opportunity to study the technology.

Toyota will launch the Bozhi 3X SUV in China in 2025 as part of its joint venture with GAC. The new EV will feature Momenta's advanced automated driving technology. The Japanese carmaker has fallen behind in the EV and automotive technology race, and it is hoping to catch up in the next three years.
