IMHO: While Intel's chips might eventually catch up there always might be issues with their drivers - surely not as refined as AMD's.

Personally I would not be holding my breath for Qualcomm to come out with anything that has a very usable iGPU. :)

Then there's the unspoken for 'elephant' that has yet to dip their 'toe' in the market - Nvidia. Sure they provided a chip for the Switch and are likely providing one for the Switch2 however could they or more important WOULD THEY produce a high performance APU for the mobile market?

IDK about everyone else but I'll have to wonder/dream about what Nvidia might be able to bring to the table. With the renewed efforts/focus on WIN-on-ARM I'd wager that an Nvidia product would at least have a decent iGPU. :)

If their 8 inch Claw with lunar lake fails then it will be their end in the handheld market which would be a shame since it would hamper competition from AMD's side somewhat with no true competitor in sight and ARM is a long way from competing with or replacing x86 due to a lack of native software and emulation negating its efficiency benefits.
