Bei der Chromebox 5a handelt es sich um ein neues Computersystem, welches die Nutzung tendenziell eher einfacherer Aufgaben mit webbasierten Anwendungen möglich machen soll. Vorteilhaft soll beispielsweise die einfache Administration sein.
