Looks massive. Kinda defeats the purpose of it being a mini pc?

It would seem that its better to buy a desktop pc in an ITX form instead of that.

But this is not exactly ITX form-factor - judging from photos they're just taken their DeskMeet X600 motherboard and putted in smaller case with external power supply.

ASRock has started to take preorders for DeskMate X600 mini PC in China. While it's larger than the average mini computer, the bigger form factor allows it to deliver desktop-grade performance with desktop-class AMD Ryzen processors. What's more interesting is that it has a slot on the top where you can install a PCIe 4.0x16 extension cable to connect a graphics card, offering better performance than OCuLink.
