Tech journalism is a joke. I read the source for this article and it just says "I'm told that Apple is now focused on developing a significantly skinnier phone in time for the iPhone 17 line in 2025." He cites no sources. Doesn't even say where he heard it from. For all we know he could have heard it from his mother at the dinner table and this "reporting" would still be technically true.

I'm going to start a tech blog where I will just make up things about tech that is two years away and all the websites can cite me as a source for their articles. This seems to be the standard model of what we are seeing these days anyway.

If they make it to be thin as a razor they can push Gillette, Wilkinson Sword, Schick and others out from the market; why use specialized products (razors) to shave when you can simply use an iPhone for that, hm? IQ 500 move from Apple, as usual.

I don't use ipad, but many people complain about battery in active work mode. Thinner iphone - smaller battery. Awesome as usual Apple.

The thinner the thicker the camera bump.

They have to make it as thin as a sheet of paper. Nothing else matters, only thinness.

Apple was once known to prioritise thinness over anything else. In more recent years, the company has shifted its focus from aesthetics alone to better functionality and battery life. Starting with the latest iPad Pro, however, the company is turning its attention back to thinness, and paired with the outstanding efficiency of Apple Silicon, the company can now do so without making any glaring sacrifices.
