For context, that is 30 million more than the number of people who own the Nintendo Switch world wide.
It's not a niche market, and hasn't been one since 2016 8 years ago.
Source on 171 million VR users? I thought the Quest sales (1, 2, and 3) total to about 20 million or so.

Quote from: Maxmodem on June 10, 2024, 02:58:49When you plug The headset into the adapter it cannot use HDR finger tracking eye tracking It also doesn't utilize the full resolution of the headset all the things that would make it a compelling choice for its unique experiences go away when plugged into a PC Plus to get the adapter and the headset would be more expensive just getting a quest 3 which would be way better if you're looking for standalone and the option of PCVR also people really need to stop calling the VR industry niche It's not a niche market The concept and idea that is measure market I think comes from the fact that it is VR VR is actually quite thriving It has its ups and Downs yes but there's plenty to play on steam The VR community is huge on VR chat resonite chill out VR I've met the most wonderful people in the VR community so we really got to stop calling it a niche market and also do your research I honestly would recommend if you would like to know more about VR an actual VR news then go to YouTube and look up thrillseeker he is huge in the VR filled he's helped test and give feedback to the big screen PCVR headset and so forth
