I think most companies have come to realize unless your tesla or rivian who's gotten boats of funding and time to develop you cant just make an EV and expect a win. Even Hyundai Group who's been pumping out EVs left and right understands that the demand is there but you cant do it w/o a transition vehicle.

Ford's CEO sees hybrids as more than a "transitional technology," despite the company being all-in on EVs. US buyers seem to share his sentiment, with a recent survey finding that as many as 43% of US buyers still prefer hybrids to pure EVs. The biggest sticking point is still charging time.
