No one gives a toss about clockspeed. It's already too high and making it higher is the definition of insanity. SD 8 Gen 3 is a throttle happy POS and Sd 8 Gen 4 will be even worse. We don't need these high frequencies in hugely thermally limited ultrathin devices like phones.

Regarding qualcomm's upcoming snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Media Tek's upcoming dimensity 9400 in which both SoC's will be fitted on the 3nm node process which will be a significant upgrade over their 4nm node process predecessors, without saying which SoC is best, I will say this fierce competition is bringing out the best in each other which is good for rising technology. Both SoC's will be feature rich and powerful and Qualcomm loyalist and Media Tek loyalist can be grateful for this fierce competition which is the name of the game.

Some notable specifications for the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 have leaked out with details such as core cluster design, process node choice, and core frequency laid bare. Interestingly, the Dimensity 9400's core frequency is reported to be already higher than the Dimensity 9300.
