Pro is defined as zoom lens now? I wish pixel pro would adopt features like equal bezels and ultra sonic fingerprint scanner offered on the base Samsung model
It's my understanding that the current smartphone telephoto lens technology uses periscope lenses which need to be fairly long to accommodate the many lense elements required. Unless there is some significant change in lense technology high magnification telephoto lenses will continue to only be available in larger phones. The upside is that the larger phone will have a larger screen and in most cases a larger battery in the larger case.
I agree, it's pathetic in the extreme to gimp the smaller flagship phones and for once I'm going to praise Google. 6.3" is about perfect. I have the 6.1" S21 and wish it were a tad larger but not Ultra sized.
The Pixel 9 details are coming thick and fast, with everything from the display to the camera specs becoming public knowledge. If true, we might finally be able to buy a compact phone without making compromises.
