Now this is a real laptop, the best hardware available, accommodated with adequate space for cooling, it also has a touchpad with physical buttons.

The biggest weak point is the low capacity battery.

As always, it's always the AMD models taking the hit...looks like it's the same screen on AMD P/T14(s) Gen 4s. I.e. no mentioning of refresh rate of the OLED panel -> the panel is in itself 90Hz but the OEM AMD drivers from Lenovo cap it at 60 in Windows. You'd have to overwrite with AMDs own drivers to get 90Hz at the cost of inaccurate colors. In Linux it works out of the box.

Then you look at their Intel models and it's 120Hz panels across the board. Lmao

It's just ugly. That camera bump + the total black colors...

I am very clear that I prefer to save about $400 and have an ultrabook with AMD Zen 4 Series 8000 rather than the latest generation from Intel.
With the AMD iGPU 780M I have more than enough to render CAD, CAM and 3D with the advantage that the AMD NPU is more powerful than the Intel one and the AMOLED screen saves even more energy than the Intel one.
In Europe and Asia, AMD products are sold out on all shelves, although when choosing I prefer something lighter like the Minisforum V3

Lenovo has introduced a new version of the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5. Previously available with Intel Meteor Lake processors as the ThinkPad P14s i Gen 5, the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 now comes with an AMD Ryzen Pro option that retains Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and adds an OLED display but at the cost of discrete graphics.
