Lol I completely forgot about that thing already, it seems everyone else too as everything is quiet about it - no news, no "after 1-2-3 months of use" reviews, all hype is gone and now I see that even Apple halved their predictions from 800,000 expected units to sell in 2024. down to 450,000. The funniest thing is that their biggest "wow feature" - using it as a larger monitor for your laptop - is possible by using ONLY video, there is no way to make audio to work. Apple Vision Flop.

Apple's line-up is nothing short of nonsensical if this happens -

- M2/M2 Pro for Mac mini
- M2 Max/M2 Ultra for Studio and Pro desktops
- M3/M3 Pro/M3 Max for iMac and MBA/MBP notebooks
- M2 or M3 for iPad Air?
- M4 for iPad Pro?

and then they also have the $3500 Vision Pro stuck with the old M2 SoC.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, there is a 'strong possibility' that the upcoming OLED iPad Pro models will make the jump to Apple's M4 chip, skipping the M3 variant. This comes as a surprise to anyone familiar with Apple's usual upgrade cycle, but given the recent heat the company is facing from Qualcomm, a truly powerful M4 chip with enhanced AI capabilities might just be the saving grace that Apple silicon needs.
