I agree with the other comments that this update is a real downer in terms of ease of use, lack of using color and overall lack of detail in the sleep section, the part that is most important to me and therefore why I chose Fitbit. Also, a "feature" of the upgrade is that it excludes sleep segments that happen before midnight, even if within the chosen sleep window, and refers to them as "other sleep segments" in calculating one's sleep score. This makes no sense.
I want to know who's genius idea it was for this redesign? It's AWFUL! HOW IS IT THIS SO-CALLED IMPROVEMENT? Was the person color-blind; hence the lacking colors.
It's so difficult to use because of the design. And I'm a tech person, so it's not that I'm lacking the understanding.
I hate this update...and so many others do too according to fitbit customer forum. I hope fitbit sees the comments and returns to the old sleep experience. Otherwise they will lose many customers who have been with fitbit for years.. I'm at 6 years...always loved fitbit. However, when my watch no longer works, I'll be finding an alternative product. Fitbit, just admit this was a wrong update and return to the old one that worked just fine! If you care about your customers.
Really disappointed with this Fitbit update. As many others have pointed out, it's hard to read and actually a downgrade to the prior version. What is going on at Google that it would permit such an inferior release (that customers dislike)-- not a good omen.
Since receiving the new update, my charge 2 has been loosing time. I have never seen this before. It seems to not sync the time like it has for many years. I also don't like the new sleep update. Hard to understand all the lines of data shown. I wish you could go back to the older version.
The new Fitbit GUI is a mistake made by designers who are obviously not users of this device feature. The previous interface was elegant and appealing to use, easily understood and probably the most appreciated part of the Fitbit app. The new release lacks in all these areas and is a step back. I hope Fitbit and Google are smart enough to allow their users the option to select and use whichever version they prefer. Stop the approach of forcing them to either change or seek an alternate device to use. This new sleep analysis feature may have been well intended but it misses the target by a great deal. Too busy, too obscure and lacking in design that pleases the user. I hope both Fitbit and Google read this and take it to heart as they are rapidly pushing people away from their product. J
This new version is a truly appalling GUI,difficult to read and with features, notably benchmark, not working. The previous sleep GUI allowed user to see several day's record and thus easily make comparisons. It also had sensible, easily distinguished colours. For those of us more elderly users it is not uncommon to wake in the night and stay awake for an hour or so. The old GUI showed the second sleep in the same way as the first, and, if it were more than 3 hours, gave the full analysis. The new version doesn't seem to do this. With such a major change, users should be offered the option to chose to go back to the previous version. The obvious alternative to this is to get a new, non-Fitbit tracker.
This update on the sleep portion is awful! Difficult to read and much harder to understand.please give me back the previous one, before I have to move to Garmin!
