How are you supposed to wait at least two weeks for a laptop that you need for your daily work?
Never LG again!
Isn't there a law in your country of residence according to which the manufacturer (seller/importer) of a product (sold to you and in which a defect requiring repair of the product was discovered during the warranty period) is obliged to provide the time of repair within 3-4 days (at the request of the consumer) similar product? And if the counterparty does not provide, then the counterparty is charged a penalty in the amount of 1% of the price of the goods for each day during which the owner of the goods cannot use the goods and at the same time the money for it was not returned to him?

The consumer should not be left without money and without goods and without penalties of 1% of the price of the goods per day. 1% is enough to rent such a product for the duration of the repair.

The keyboard on the LG Gram 17 is extremely fragile.
After just one year, two letter keys no longer work.

And of course, I forgot the key jamb of this model - again a stupid power button as part of the keyboard.

LG it looks like a laptop for the poor, not for people willing to pay almost $2000. Fire this designer and make a separate power button, it costs a penny.

And of course, do not forget to make manual control of coolers within some allowable limits from under Windows or in the BIOS.

I like LG more and more in their attempts to make a good laptop for quiet сomfort work.

The screen is almost wonderful - according to the review, the response time is good, despite the "60Hz". Excellent contrast, sufficient brightness (but not for the street).

But the author did not pay any attention to the accuracy of the screen "out of the box" with the sRGB profile - if it is available in the software and to what extent it corresponds to sRGB. Because this matrix has a wide gamut (I have exactly the same monitor in front of my eyes with 94% Adobe RGB) and this is a problem if the manufacturer has not achieved an exact match of sRGB (Rec.709/SDR) in the factory profile, because most of the software and videos are made right under it.

And of course, on 17"+ I still wanted 4k@120Hz (with the same or better response time <10ms G2G/B2W).

In all other respects, except for poorly tuned RAM in the BIOS (too much variation in reading/writing/copying - they should be close in numbers)....the disadvantages of the laptop are entirely due to its low weight.

The increased noise of the cooling system, despite the poor performance, results from the low weight of the radiators in order to combat the increased weight.

The only way to solve this problem today - lower noise and higher speed - is to use Zen4 Phoenix, and not super hot Intel on an outdated technical process. Of course, 2 USB40 ports(Phoenix first AMD series with built-in 2xUSB40 ports) should be in place, as well as 2xTB4 with Intel.

LG also makes a common mistake - making power only via usb-c, which idiotically sticks out to the left side, making it extremely uncomfortable for right-handed people to use the laptop on sofas and beds from psu - right-handed people's legs are just on the left and they will easily break this flimsy power port. Why, again, is it impossible to make the main power supply through the usual round, angular and extremely durable plug on the side, or why, having so much space in the back, not to make power supply via usb-c in the back, so that it is convenient for both right-handed and left-handed people?

Again, the audio jack is conveniently located for right-handed people, but it is so inconvenient for left-handed people - it's better when there are 2 identical audio jacks - left and right. An additional bonus - you can quickly create a quad-sound around a set of 4 speakers in road.

If LG heeds this advice, they will gently and unhurriedly break into the lead.

Well, it's nice to put in a box with a laptop, as Gigabyte does in the Aero series - a small docking station with additional connectors, including 2.5Gb/s Ethernet.

Well, even taking into account the struggle with weight, it is still worth putting 2 memory slots in such a large case so that the owner can easily upgrade to 64GB, if necessary. And with the Zen4 Phoenix, that's probably the minimum requirement - 64GB of memory. Because built-in video immediately takes 8GB from the system, so even with 32GB there is only 22GB (2GB takes W10/11) free, which is not so much in 2023.

And of course, a wish to LG to provide drivers for your laptops to W10 until at least 2028. W11 is too disgusting to be a non-alternative solution today.

Liebes Notebookcheck-Team,
