Here's all the Switch 2 has to do to keep up:
- Play any games ported to it in handheld mode at 720p30 (or up to 1080p30 if they pick a better screen)
- Clock higher and aggressively upscale when docked to reach the higher FPS and resolutions. It can get to 4K using DLSS even if it's terrible.
- Ship with 12 GB of RAM
Based on what we've heard so far, it can probably compare well enough to the Xbox Series S (which uses about 60-90W during gameplay, not 150-200W).
Console gaming will largely be held back by the Xbox Series S for years to come, which is good for the Switch 2.
