As a long-time Garmin fenix/fr user, I know that it doesn't pay to sheepishly update the firmware because each new version comes with a bug that will not be fixed in a few subsequent offerings. Tried and tested.

Garmin has released a new update for one of its recent Forerunner smartwatches. Rolling out now through the company's stable software distribution channels, the update brings plenty of bug fixes to the older wearable, as well as several new features.
