PFN has been collaborating with TSMC since 2016, yet it decided to produce its next gen AI chips on Samsung's 2 nm nodes. While TSMC  currently has more 2 nm clients, PFN's switch could signal a reversal in Samsung's favor, since the Japanese company has close ties with Intel and Nvidia.
