Also the Harmon Kardon is going to destroy any speaker that JBL puts out! As soon as you mentioned the Harmon Kardon, it wasn't a fair fight haha!

I agree with that also, I don't like soundbars because the sound stays up front, it's not surround sound. And with a 9.1, what did they do put 7 speakers in the bar? Cause you only have the 2 surround speakers are the other 7 in the bar? That would be overpowering, you'd barely be able to understand where the surround speakers sound is coming from! With a 9.1 I'd rather have my center speaker and 4 surround speakers spaced evenly around the room! Your center speaker actually centered in the room, 2 left and right front speakers, 2 L/R side front, 2 L/R side back and 2 L/R back speakers. I believe that would be a great setup?

Seems like you are the one who has no idea. Go read a couple of books on speaker building. The size IS a compromise. Small speakers simply don't want to be loud OR low unless you can throw tons of money and engineering at it and even then it's never as good as a larger volume speaker.
So unless you really really can't accomodate anything larger than these toy soundbars then you are throwing money away as you can buy much better performing products for much much less.
Better performing as in, louder, more lowend extension and much higher efficiency.

I have this soundbar and the people that have previously commented has no idea. this soundbar is actually amazing as well as any JBL product i've ever owned it works well when you don't want full surround and if you always want surround you can plug them into the wall. I payed full price for this a couple years ago and I still use it today.

Soundbar will always be a compromised form factor. No one should ever spend that kind of money on a gimmick.

A soundbar, any soundbar, is a poor excuse for a real home theater system...AV receiver plus speakers.
