In case you haven't realized, that's already a thing for a long time over Thunderbolt so why even bother with the RJ45 there when you can use TB for various docking solutions where, among many other things/expansions, ethernet of up to 25Gbps (25, yes, not 2.5) is possible all over one single cable 🤷�♂️ I have this one for my X1 Carbon and it works great (9.8Gbps on iPerf3).

Hahaha - now find "professional" laptops with 10Gbps RJ45 on board. Just like PC. =)
